Hey everyone. There is not an update for March, and there won't be a public update for a while. As consolation, please take the first page of the chapter 1 rework I did last year. 

This past year and a half has been tough as far as work on the comic has gone, as I'm sure you have noticed. I've written myself into a bit of a corner, with a lot of ideas about where the story could go, but none I am wholly happy with or interested in pursuing. However, I love the characters and I'm not ready to give up on the story. I just think I could do a better job at it now that I know more about making comics, more about where I want the story to go, and where I could add and subtract to make an overall more put-together narrative than when it started (which was, honestly, not much more than putting my guys in Situations).

I'm still a bit on the fence, but it's very likely LIES WITHIN will be getting a full rework.

I guess I am worried that if I do decide to rework the story (with this chapter 1 rework as the first chapter to a new beginning) folks won't be interested in hearing a slightly different version for a second time. But, I do think I'd be happier with my own work doing it, and since LIES WITHIN is a passion project after all, it is the direction I am leaning in. This would mean the site will no longer be receiving updates until I decide I've gotten enough work completed to start weekly updates again, back at chapter 1. But since I'm no longer beholden to Hiveworks I do feel I have the freedom to do that.

I will keep an archive of the original comic, still free to browse, because I personally hate when I lose media on the internet that I enjoy.

It's a lot to think about, and I'm sure it's disappointing news for some of you.
