Hey hey, all! Happy new year! I hope you all had a good holiday season and aren't feeling too much like you need another holiday already (when is the next one, anyway?), I'm here with an important update/blog that I've mirrored over on my Patreon!

Firstly, I'm going to be changing the way LIES WITHIN updates going forward. If you're a Patron, you may have noticed that I do not have any early pages over there. I've been focused mainly on pet commissions over the past two months and because of that, work on pages has gone slowly. The cost of living has risen for all of us and I have had my sticker shop closed for most of the last year due to postal strikes, meaning I've had to take on a lot more pet commission work than I previously have had to do. I don't believe I'm able to continue a weekly update schedule like I used to, and I want to change that up to allow me room to take on more paying work and Patreon exclusives as I complete pages at a slower rate.

Also: after this chapter completes, I'm not quite sure where the story is going! I finished writing it ages ago, but I've changed and grown as a writer and there are a half dozen alternate endings rattling around in my head now, and I need to take a bit of time to figure out what exactly I want to happen next.

Pages will continue to be posted privately for Patrons as soon as I finish them, and will release at the end of each month on the site here in batches of however many pages I have complete in that month. Whether that's 1 page or 4 pages, they'll all drop publicly on the same day.

As for other news, I will be gathering together a couple of adult sketchbooks to release on Patreon and on my itch dot io of previous artworks that have been exclusive to Patreon for years now, as well as working on getting my sticker shop back open. I'll also be opening my character commission form again for the first time in a couple of years, which is very exciting to me. More info on that will be up on my socials tomorrow.

I may reconsider weekly updates in the new year as it appears to be something I can't consistently stay on top of, with the need to take on other paid work to keep the lights on, so to speak. Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely summer.

After some thought, I've made the decision to move LIES WITHIN off of the Hiveworks platform. You may notice that the site is looking much simpler (no more ads!) and there may be some hiccups as I work with tech to move to my own hosting. Apologies in advance if anything goes sideways, but it should be a fairly smooth move and both the site and comments section should remain intact. My plan going forward is to be ad-free because honestly, ads are annoying and do not pay out what they're worth to run them, but I will probably add my own ko-fi and shop banners where ads used to be. 

As for what I've been up to ... 

I spent most of this ongoing hiatus redrawing and retooling the first chapter of LIES WITHIN and it's done! You can see the progress in over 20 blog posts for $1 over on my Patreon. As previously mentioned, I have plans for the redraw that do not currently involve posting it publicly, so Patreon is currently the only place you can see pages from it. 

The hiatus will continue until (FINGERS CROSSED) October, when I'll be back posting new pages publicly. I want to enjoy my summer and play some video games before diving back into work on new pages, but will be posting them as they're finished to my Patreon for $5+ members, as has always been the case. I am hoping to even get a small buffer going, for once!
